A tactical Great Northern War maneuver will be held in Nyland’s Brigades training ground in Syndalen. According to the preliminary schedule the event starts on 17th of May at 19:00, and ends on 18th of May at 18:00. A public performance is on sunday 19th of May. We expect about 80 mousqueteers and a dozen mamsels and wenches from various countries.
Preliminary schedule:
Friday 17th of May
13:00…14:00 Arrival. Troops from different countries arrive at Syndalen training ground at the set location. Unloading of vehicles and parking.
14:00-15:00 Officers meeting: camp program, safety orders, rules. The ranks prepare gun powder and paper cartridges.
15:00-16:00 Lunsh in the field
16:00-17:00 Changing clothes. All modern equipment are stored away in container.
17:00-17:30 General muster. Presentation of safety orders and rules.
17:30-19:00 Moving to camp locations and setting up camp.
19:00 Maneuvers begin.
Saturday 18th of May.
18:00 Maneuvers end. Ending inspection.
18:30-20:00 Breaking up camp and transport to Hanko accommodation.
20:00 Washing up, sauna and evening recreation.
Sunday 19th of May.
10:00 Reveille.
10:30-11:30 Breakfast
12:00 General muster after which proceed to perfomance site in Hanko
13:00 Public performance in Hanko + press info.
14:00 Lunch
15:00 Washing up and change of clothes.
16:00 Return home. Guided sightseeing of Hanko (e.g. military museum)
Muskets fire only black powder (salute shots only).
